The Alpha Course provides a relaxed and friendly environment where anyone can ask some of life's most important questions. Does God exist? Is there a purpose to life? Surely there must be more to life than this?. After dinner, a speaker will give a 20 to 30 minute talk on a key aspect of the Christian faith. Following this, people are free to discuss in groups of 10 or so. A group leader will help to 'chair' the conversation, not imposing their own views but just helping conversation to flow. No question is too simple or off limits! The course, including dinner is provided for free, so there are no excuses not to come! (people who are able can make a donation towards the cost of dinner). Anyone is welcome - register today!
Launch night is Thursday 29th September at Les Cotils Centre, St Peter Port. Billy Gilvear, minister at Shiloh Church with a powerful personal testimony of faith will lead the courses each week. For some weeks we will welcome guest speakers, each with their own stories of God at work in their lives. This will help to set the scene for your own discussions - did you agree with what you heard? Can it be true?
Please arrive at 7.30pm for dinner. Each evening will finish at around 9.30pm. The course runs each Thursday evening at Les Cotils until Thursday 1st December. There will be an additional afternoon on Saturday 5th November on the subject "The Holy Spirit". Register today using the on-line form, or contact Billy Gilvear (details below), or contact any of the churches using the links on this page.
